Art Matters……………… exploring the world of art

I am Sandi Shapiro, a professional, working artist in the St. Louis, Missouri area. As you can see from my resume, I have taught studio art and art history for about 10 years. My own studio is attached to my home which I love.

I am passionate about art, and I am hoping that I can share some of that magic by introducing you to some of the best artists, galleries and art collectors in the St. Louis area. My hope is to increase awareness of art and the process and history of art.

I take groups of people to artists' studios, art collector’s homes and visit art gallery Directors in their gallery. We talk directly to these professionals and ask all of those questions we would like to ask. We get the inside scoop on emerging local and regional artists on a personal tour. It is fun and exciting to become acquainted with them as we talk and ask questions.

I provide art tours for individuals, corporations, and private organizations. I also custom design tours to meet individuals needs and interests.

I schedule tours about three or four times a year. Previous Tours

The dates are the following:

10TH ART EVENT

I am going to present the same art tours twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. The only art tour that will be on only one day is the Tuesday of the Art Collector.
 

April 8^th. & April 10^th. 1:00-Diane Katzmans studio- a jeweler who sells at Saks and Neiman Marcus…AND she is giving us 30% OFF!
 

April 22 and April 24^th. –1:00- we are going to tour Neiman Marcus. They have fantastic art on their walls and we will f;ind out why they collect, etc. maybe we can lunch first at the Zodiac Room?
 

May 6^th. ONLY-1:00 – (both groups will attend together) we will visit a fabulous home in clayton built by a young couple who love art
 

May 13^th. & May 15 – 12:30-we will meet at the studio of Billy O…a very popular artist who even has a book published of his work.  Who is Billy O?  lets find out.
 

May 20^th & May 22-1:00 – Jennifer Weigel – a PERFORMANCE ARTIST..what is performance art? Well, we will meet this wonderful artist and learn all about her art.  We will view her art and of course, ask questions of her.
